Magda Orlander Featured in WCPO-TV News
Trainer Magda Orlander from the Cincinnati Interfaith Workers Center (CIWC) was featured in the WCPO-TV news story “COVID-19: Demand grows for free groceries, but packing and distributing them safely can be tricky“. In the report, Ms. Orlander emphasizes that food donation workers must behave as though they are Hazmat workers by adopting stringent food packing and distribution protocols. CIWC Training Center Director Brennan Grayson was also quoted in the text version of the story. Magda consulted with the International Chemical Workers Union Council (ICWUC), a fellow NIEHS Worker Training Program grantee, for advice on setting up food distribution centers safely in light of COVID-19.
